The 1959-60 Topps set consists of 66 hockey cards. There were no significant rookie cards in the set which was stuffed with ‘In Action’ cards with cheezy by-lines. In fact, the set as a whole is valued at more than half that of the year before.
The top hockey cards in the 1959-60 set belong to the usual suspects. Bobby Hull of the Chicago Blackhawks leads the way with his second year card. Gordie Howe of the Detroit Red Wings follows not far behind. Other important cards belong to Terry Sawchuk of the Red Wings, Glenn Hall of the Blackhawks and Eddie Shack of the New York Rangers.
