With less than two days to go before the ten hockey cards featured in this sale will go to the highest bidders, there are certainly still bargains to be had. All cards have been bid on at least twice with auction prices ranging from $0.31 to $3.25.
Views have been fairly high with a somewhat aggressive social media campaign on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

What cards will I miss the most out of this group of ten? Probably the Canadiens on Guard hockey card from the 1959-60 Parkhurst set. It’s a cool card with some great players in the picture on the front. It’s a shame that really only Jacques Plante gets any recognition for being in the picture. I’ll miss this card the most because it’s probably the least likely to replace (if I needed or wanted to, for some reason).
I admit, I didn’t know much about Charlie Burns until I wrote the article promoting the card and this sale (see link below). He may not have had the greatest National Hockey League career but Burns is a Canadian hockey hero for his play at the World Championships with the Whitby Dunlops back in 1958.
But, you’ve got to admit, the Flyer Team Leaders card is the quirkiest. Dave ‘The Hammer’ Schultz as the player of Philly with the highest scoring percentage! Schultz is better known as the man with the most penalty minutes in a single NHL season and not as an offensive icon.
Anyhow, if you get a chance over the next few days, head over to eBay and check out the action. I have a ton of other cards up for auction, as well, with more and more listed each day. The starting bid on most cards and lots is $.99 – still a real bargain for most.
