Take the Poll!
Also, take a look to the right of this article and have your say in our latest poll. The National Hockey League offers an award for the player with the most points (Art Ross Trophy) and the most goals (Rocket Richard Trophy) but do not honour perhaps the most important player on the ice – the set-up man.
Who should the NHL name their impending trophy for most assists after? Currently, Wayne Gretzky has taken the majority of the votes. And, why not? The Great One is hands down the greatest player to ever put on a jersey in the history of the National Hockey League. Yet, the league disses him by not naming an award after him. The Ontario Hockey League not only has one award named after Gretzky, but two, even though Wayne only played one full season in the league.
